Tuition Information

2011-2012 Academic Year

$9,500  PARISH TUITION
$9,600  OUT OF PARISH TUITION

One or Two Payment Plan
Payments are due June 1 and November 1 and should be mailed directly to the school. If payment is not received by the 1st of the month, payment arrangement will be changed to an automatic deduction monthly through the bank.  No parish discount will be given.

Monthly Plan
Payments must begin in June. If you anticipate a problem with a payment because of an emergency, please call the school at least one week prior to the date of the scheduled automatic deduction.  Penalties for insufficient funds at the time of withdrawal:  $25 bank penalty plus a $25 school penalty.

Fund Drive Payment
Families can choose to participate in the two annual fund drives or opt to have $100 added to the tuition contract.

Academic Scholarships
Students who receive academic scholarships will have the amount of the scholarship applied directly to their account, thus reducing the total tuition amount due for the year.

Financial Aid
If you request financial aid but do not receive it, there are four possible reasons:

  • SSS calculated that you could pay the total tuition.
  • SSS recommended aid but the school did not have sufficient resources to meet all requests.
  • Student received aid during the school year just completed but did not fulfill his/her commitment to the job assigned them.
  • Student is not in good disciplinary standing.

Students who receive financial aid are given a job at school such as assisting in one of the offices, cleaning a classroom, assisting with recycling, etc. Students are expected to complete their assigned task on a regular basis and in a responsible manner. Consistent failure to meet this obligation will result in loss of assistance.

Withdrawal from SEHS
The first month’s payment (June) is considered a deposit for the following year and is never refunded. Parents who opted for the one or two payment plan will receive a prorated refund. If a student withdraws anytime after July 1, the parents are responsible for the entire year of tuition. Course fees, graduation fees, and freshman deposits are non-refundable.

Delinquency
Students of parents with serious delinquencies may not:

  • Enter St. Elizabeth if there is an outstanding balance related to a sibling who previously attended.
  • Begin another semester.
  • Receive a report card or interim transcripts or take part in extra-curricular activities such as proms, class trips, or other events that are not strictly part of the academic program.
  • Take final exams.

At the discretion of the administration, students of parents with delinquent accounts may not be allowed to attend class until the past due balance has been satisfied.
