Detentions and Demerits
Detention is held several afternoons after school. The length of time a student must serve depends on the offense. Students should check the Dean of Students' bulletin board in the morning to see if he is due in detention that day. Students report to the designated room. Detentions received on any given day shall be served on the following detention day to allow for transportation arrangements. If, for serious reason, a student is unable to serve a detention, he must contact the Dean of Students or the Detention Proctor prior to the time of the detention. If he feels his detention is unwarranted, he must discuss his objection with the Dean of Students. There are no exemptions from serving detention.

Late Detention is held on Tuesdays. Students who have been late the previous week must serve 30 minutes of detention at this time. Multiple late detentions can be served in one day.

Saturday detentions will be assigned at times and are mandatory.  Students who miss Saturday detentions face Probation or Dismissal.

Detention After Final Exams
Any student who receives a demerit for being late or being out of uniform or any other violation that would warrant a demerit will serve that demerit on the day following the school’s last exam.  The detention will run from 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.  Students will serve 45 minutes for each demerit received.
