Dress Code
I. The Model
 
     General appearance for school should be neat, clean, and appropriate. Students who ignore the proper attention to personal cleanliness, appearance, and dress will be sent home to correct the problem. Clothing should be in good repair and worn throughout the day. Outerwear is to be stored in lockers upon arrival at school.  All uniform needs may be ordered from Flynn & O’Hara. www.flynnohara.com

II. Boys' Code (from the top down)
 
     Hair should be clean, well groomed and traditionally cut and styled. Hair should not be worn below the eyebrows, nor fully covering the ears and not worn below the shirt collar. Extreme styles and colors are not permitted. Hats/Caps are not to be worn in the school buildings at anytime. Earrings, nose-rings, piercings, etc. are not permitted. Faces should be clean-shaven everyday (senior boys are permitted a moustache as a privilege). Side burns cannot be below the bottom of the ear.
     Business style shirts (long/short-sleeved) must be solid white or pastel in color. Neckties must be neat, appropriate and traditionally styled. Shirts must be completely tucked inside trousers at the waist. During warmer weather (announced by the school), boys may wear the white St. E emblem golf-style shirt available through Flynn & O’Hara. In cooler weather months (announced by the school), students wear the maroon St. Elizabeth v-neck sweater.  As an option, traditionally styled suit coats or sports jackets may be worn.
     Trousers must be worn at the waist with a traditionally styled belt. Trousers must be the uniform khakis available through Flynn & O’Hara.
     Dress shoes must be solid black with no stripes or distinctive markings or emblems. Grey is not black! Boots, sneakers, sandals,  slippers, moccasins, etc. of any kind are not acceptable. Socks must be worn at all times.
     Tattoos of any kind (real/fake) must be covered while in school and while participating in athletic contests.

III. Girls' Code  (from the top down)
     Hair should be clean and neatly styled. Extreme styles, colors, or ornaments are not permitted.

 
     Excessive make-up is not permitted. A minimum of jewelry is permitted. Earrings should be moderate in size no matter the style. Two small posts per ear may be worn. Nose-rings, other piercings are not permitted.
     All shirts are to be the white St. E banded waist golf-style shirt available from the Flynn & O’Hara. The banded waist shirt may be worn inside or outside the slacks.
     During cooler weather months (announced by the school), all students will wear the maroon St. Elizabeth v-neck sweater.  Girls must wear the khaki uniform pants available through Flynn & O’Hara.

     Socks or stockings must be worn at all times.
     Dress shoes must be solid black with no stripes or distinctive markings or emblems. Grey is not black!  Boots, sneakers, sandals, slippers, moccasins, etc. of any kind are not acceptable. Shoes may have a heel of no more than two inches.         
       Tattoos of any kind (real/fake) must be covered while in school and while participating in athletic contests.

     Note: The boys' and girls' dress code is not a debatable matter. The school reserves the right to apply the code when appropriate and will interpret such things as neat, clean, modest, length, traditional, extreme, and excessive.
