STUDENT HANDBOOK 2008 - 2009

Demerit and Detention List

This list indicates offenses and the number of demerits which are assigned to each. Those offenses which are asterisked are offenses for which a student may be suspended. The ordinary time of suspension is indicated.
The following infractions are listed as examples of the type behavior which renders students liable to the receiving of demerits; it is not intended to be a complete list of every conceivable offense. Students are, therefore, to be aware of the fact that all teachers are equally responsible for the maintenance of good order in the school and may be faced with situations not listed here. In this event, teachers may take such reasonable measures as to them seem most likely to correct the problem.
Full detention unless otherwise noted by teacher.
