STUDENT HANDBOOK
2008 - 2009
Courtesy
Students are expected to demonstrate
courtesy and consideration for
fellow classmates, faculty, staff,
and visitors. Boisterous conduct,
inordinate talking, pushing, and
shoving are unacceptable. Doors
should be held for the person
following you. The simple words
“'Thank you," "You're welcome," and
"Good Morning" contribute to a
pleasant atmosphere. Public displays
of affection (PDA) are
inappropriate at school and often
embarrasses others. A positive
relationship with the surrounding
community is maintained when
students show respect and concern
for the quiet nature of the school
neighborhood. Excessive noise,
smoking and speeding vehicles are
unacceptable. When school personnel
remind students of rules or
procedures, students should show
respect for their authority and
follow their directions or provide
the requested information.
