Academic Probation
Policy
Some
new students, all
transfer students and
certain students
returning to St.
Elizabeth's are placed
on Academic Probation.
This policy states that
the academic record of
students on Probation
will be reviewed at the
end of the first marking
period and again at the
end of the first
semester. If, at the end
of the semester, the
council determines the
student is not working
to potential (generally,
this assumes no
failures), the student
may be dismissed at that
time. At the
recommendation of the
council, Probation may
be extended for
additional marking
periods. If, after the
first semester, there
are no failures and the
student's performance is
satisfactory, the
Probation may be lifted.
Parents are always
notified of this
Probation Period during
meetings with the
Academic Dean.
