STUDENT HANDBOOK
2008 - 2009
Academic Failures
The school requires that students earn a minimum of 26 credits to
receive a diploma. Students must earn at least six credits a year. To
insure that students have sufficient credits by senior year, all courses
failed at freshman, sophomore, or junior level must be made up by summer
school. If the course is not available in a regular summer school
class, the student must have 30 hours of tutoring from an approved
tutoring agency or St. Elizabeth teacher.
By August 15, the student must retake and pass the
final exam in the course which he failed. Seniors who fail two
subjects must make up one before diplomas will be issued. At the end of
the school year, underclass students who have failed more than two
courses will be dismissed from St. Elizabeth’s. Summer school does not
suffice in such cases.
