Dear St. E Families,
Fall greetings to you as we enter the month of November and the school year’s second academic period. Throughout the month of November we will remember in a special way those family members and friends who have departed this life. Campus Ministry has created a memory board for students who wish to post remembrances of their loved ones. Congratulations to the Lady Viking Volleyball team who will be playing the first round of the state tournament this weekend!! This is the third e-newsletter with calendar updates and reminders for the next two weeks.
November 1 Long Live Viking Spirit & Tradition 2008 Homecoming Dance - 7 pm Grant Hall Lady Viking Volleyball in the 1st round of State Tournament at Wilmington Friends School – 7 pm start vs Concord Raiders Art & Drama students Fall Fest participation at the Grand Opera House 11:30 - 3:30 DAYLIGHT SAVINGS TIME ENDS – Clocks fall back one hour.
November 4 Election Day – Regular school day November 3 – November 6 High School Placement Test Prep Course - 3:30 – 5:40 –prospective 9th graders
November 6 Report Card Pickup – Parent Conferences – 5-8 pm Reports should be picked up in the main hallway; teachers will be available in their classrooms & offices
November 7 Teacher In-Service; NO SCHOOL FOR STUDENTS
November 7-9 St. Elizabeth Parish Bazaar – Grant Hall Fri- 5- 9pm; Sat. 3-9 pm; Sun. 8 am – 2 pm
November 10 National Honor Society tapping at morning assembly
November 11 National Honor Society Installation & Dinner- 6 pm in St. Elizabeth Church
November 12 Parent meeting CANCELLED
November 14 Winter Sports Begin; all participants must have completed physicals in advance of tryouts and practices. College applications are due to the Guidance Office if seniors wish to have them processed before the Christmas break.
