SCRIP
FUNDRAISING PROGRAM AT
SEHS
Dear Parents and
Friends of SEHS,
We would like to
provide you with some
information about an
exciting and very
important new program we
are beginning at St.
Elizabeth’s. It is
called the Scrip
Fundraising Program.
We are attaching a blank
order form and a listing
of all participating
retailers and their
percentages.
What is Scrip?
The Scrip Program is
a nationally
recognized
fundraising program
that has been
operating at local
schools for the past
few years. Scrip is
gift cards that are
purchased from
various retailers at
a discount. The
discount is then
split between the
buyer (families) and
SEHS. This very
successful
fundraiser has been
adopted by our
school to help
offset both the
increasing cost of
tuition for our
families and the
high cost of a
quality activities
and sports program
for our children.

How does it
benefit families
with children in
SEHS? Families
who purchase Scrip
earn a percentage
back on their
purchases that are
then applied to the
following year’s
tuition. Percentages
vary based on the
store you purchase
from. The percentage
is split 50-50
between SEHS and the
family.
For
instance:
If a family
were to
purchase
$100 of Acme
gifts (4%)
cards every
week that
Scrip is
available
(approximately
45 in a
year), they
would have
earned $90.00
by the end
of that year
to be put
towards
their
tuition
payment.
$100 a
week x 45
weeks =
$4500 2%
(family
portion) of
$4500 =
$90.00.
How does the
program work?
Every Tuesday we
will email parents
and friends a scrip
order form. If
placing an order,
the order form and
payment must be sent
in the next day with
your student or sent
back via email and
the payment sent in
with your student.
Payment may be made
by cash or check
(payable to St.
Elizabeth High
School). Orders will
be placed on
Thursday and sent
home with your
student on the
following Wednesday.
A complete listing
of vendors and
percentages is
available at
WWW.GLSCRIP.COM
Your
purchases
are recorded
in our
database and
in December
and again in
April you
will be sent
a letter
detailing
the amount
of credit
you have
accrued thus
far.
In May, per
your
request,
your credit
will reduce
your May
tuition
payment or
be applied
to next
year’s
tuition .
Families
leaving the
Catholic
School
System who
are not
eligible to
receive the
tuition
credit will
have the
opportunity
to donate
their credit
to their
Parish or
another
family or
receive a
check for
the amount
of their
credit.
Can I invite
family or friends to
place orders also?
Absolutely! The more
people you can get
to purchase Scrip,
the more money you
earn towards the
next year’s tuition
for your family. We
do ask some
considerations.
You may send
multiple
payments
with one
order form
but please
make sure
the total
amount
ordered
matches the
total amount
of the
payments.
If you are
copying
order forms
to give to
others,
please make
sure you are
regularly
checking to
make sure
they have
the most
updated
version.
Vendors are
added or
deleted
throughout
the year.
Scrip order
forms will
also be
available
for
downloading
off the
school’s
website,
www.sehs.org.
Are there any other
things I need to
know about placing
orders?
Please
provide us
with a phone
number that
we can reach
you at
between 9
and 12 on
Thursday
morning
should we
have a
question
about your
order.
If you do
not see a
retailer
that you
normally
shop at, let
us know.
There are
many other
retailers
available
that we
cannot list
because of
space.
Please check
your order
when your
child brings
it home on
Tuesday. If
there are
any
discrepancies
please
contact
Teresa
Campbell at
302-656-3369
ext 3098.
At this
time, J.C.
Penney’s
allow you to
pay your
bill with
Scrip.
Unless
otherwise
stated on
the order
form, gift
cards are
good at any
location of
that
particular
retailer.
We hope you will find
this to be a beneficial
program for both your
family and your school.
Thank you for your help
and consideration.
