Colegio Mater Dei, Castellón de la Plana

Who?         20 travelers – 18 students – 2 teachers

Where?      Experience 2 major Spanish cities - Madrid & Barcelona

What?        Spend 1 week with student families of Colegio Mater Dei & 1 week of immersion in a Spanish high school

Why?         Cultural awareness for the 21^st Century mixed with lots of fun and unforgettable memories

Itinerary:

►27 March  Depart Philadelphia

          USAir 740 at 9 pm arrive Madrid at 9:15 am on 28 March

►28 March  Transfer airport to  HOTEL ÓPERA.

         Two night stay at HOTEL ÓPERA.

         Cuesta de Santo Domingo, E-28013

          -3 pm – half-day sight-seeing tour with guide-4hrs

         -Dinner at hotel

►29 March - Buffet breakfast & dinner at hotel.  Day at leisure.

►30 March - transfer from Hotel Opera to rail station.

Depart Madrid at 8 am, arrive Castellón at 12:15 pm

►30 March - 07 April - Home Stay with families in Castellón

►31 March – attend Mater Dei, side trips with host students- Benicàssim, Morella, Peñiscola, Valencia

►07 April - Rail from Castellón at 10:43 am, arrive Barcelona at 1:41 pm, transfer rail station to Hotel Roma Reial

Afternoon free; transfer to local restaurant for dinner; return to hotel

►08 April – Cold buffet breakfast at hotel.  9:45 am – half-day    sightseeing tour with guide, 4 hours

►09 April - Cold buffet breakfast at hotel. 9:30 am – half-day excursion to Montserrat with guide for four hours

►10 April – Cold buffet breakfast at hotel.  8 am transfer hotel to airport.

Depart Barcelona at 12:10 pm on USAir 743, Arrive Philadelphia 3:15 pm

Notes to Know

The trip is open to 18 students, with host family students given 1st consideration.

Students must be in good standing: academics, discipline, financially, attendance.

Each student is permitted ONE suitcase and regulation carry-on bag.
