GUIDANCE DEPARTMENT STAFF

Ms. Dawn Teat is the Director of Guidance and a counselor for sophomore, junior and senior students. She is a member of Administrative Council, Academic Council, Student Assistance Program, and Substance Abuse Awareness Task Force. She is the moderator of the Blue*Gold Club, and is the head varsity field hockey coach. Ms. Teat has worked at St. Elizabeth’s since 1994. She is a graduate of Wilmington College (B.S. in Human Resources and, M.Ed. School Counseling) and, Neumann College (M.Ed. in Catholic School Leadership).

Mrs. Susan MacPherson is a Guidance Counselor for sophomore, junior and senior students. She is the Advanced Placement and Standardized Testing Coordinator, and a member of the Student Assistance Program. Mrs. MacPherson has worked at St. Elizabeth’s since 1985. She is a graduate of Bucknell University (B.S. in Secondary Education) and the University of Virginia (M.Ed. School Counseling). She has one son who graduated from St. E’s in 1999.

Mrs. Joanne Gibbons is the Freshman Guidance Counselor and Students with Learning Differences Coordinator, and is a member of the Student Assistance Program. She has worked at St. Elizabeth’s since 2000 and in the Diocese of Wilmington for over 30 years. Mrs. Gibbons is a graduate of the University of Delaware (B.A. English) and Wilmington College (M.Ed. School Counseling). She teaches AP Psychology and is the moderator for SADD/Peer Leadership and National Honor Society. Mrs. Gibbons has three sons who graduated from St. E’s.
