SILENT AUCTION
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the Viking Auction?
It is a major Alumni and Parent Liaison Group fundraiser for the year, as well as being a fun-filled evening held every year in April. This years theme is
“Una
Bella Notte in Italia”
(A Beautiful Night in
Italy). The evening will include Live and Silent Auctions,
Gondols Races, Chinese Auction, 50-50 Drawings, Viking Treasure Chest, hot and cold hors doeuvres, and open bar.
What is the purpose of the Viking Auction?
The auction provides funds necessary to support the Scholarship, Endowment, and Technology Funds.
When and where is the Viking Auction?
The 2009 auction will be held on Saturday, April 25, 2009.
The auction will be held at the St. E Center on the campus of St. Elizabeth High School at 1500 Cedar Street, Wilmington, DE 19805. The event starts at 6:00 p.m. with cocktails, hors doeuvres, and competitive bidding.
What shall I wear?
The attire for the evening is Country Club Casual. For the ladies, dresses or dress slacks are appropriate. The men may wear Khakis and collared shirts. You can come dressed according to the theme of the evening if youd like.
What is the ticket price?
Tickets to the event are $35 per person or $60 per couple.
Can I afford this event?
Absolutely!!! Auction items cover a wide range of prices from $10 and up. Why not consider going in on a large item with a group of friends.
Where do the Viking Auction items come from?
With so many organizations now depending on auctions to raise funds, merchants are inundated with requests for donations. As a result, most businesses give auction donations only to regular customers. The auction committee needs the support of all SEHS families to meet our goal this year. We ask that families consider making a personal donation to the live or silent auction and/or the Homeroom Gift Baskets. Families may also solicit a donation of goods or services from a business with whom they deal on a regular basis or from whom they are making a major purchase.
What is the Donation List?
Want to make a donation but cant think of anything? Just go to our What can I donate List on the SEHS website where you will find plenty of suggestions.
